LIVERPOOL FC are unfazed by reports linking Daniel Agger with a move away from Anfield.
Agger was heavily linked with a move to Manchester City over the weekend, with some sources indicating an initial £13m bid from the Premier League champions had been rebuffed by Liverpool.
LFC Mania understands that this is not the case, but that City have expressed their interest in signing the Danish defender.
However £13 million is way below Liverpool’s valuation if they are forced to consider a deal for Agger.
Sources in the club believe Agger is happy at Liverpool and most likely will sign a new deal soon.
The Premier League champions are also keen on Agger’s defensive colleague Martin Skrtel, but Liverpool are hopeful of tying both players down to new contracts at Anfield.
Reds boss Brendan Rodgers spoke last week of his desire to keep both Skrtel and Agger at the club and talks for new deals are ongoing.
Both have two years left to run on their current deals, and both have indicated that they are willing to extend their stays on Merseyside.
